He was predeceased by: his mother Jewell Cooper; his grandmother Betty Cooper; and his aunt Mary McCandless. He is survived by: his son Colin Cooper of Oakland City; his sister Tammy Brown of Oakland City; his grandfather Arkie Cooper of Oakland City; his nieces, Sabrina Gash and Brittney McQueen; and his nephew Scott McQueen, Jr.. He is also survived by aunts & uncles; several great nieces and nephews.

Due to state mandated COVID-19 regulations, there is a maximum of 25 people allowed inside the funeral home and at the graveside.
