It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Berniece Griffith (Oakland City, Indiana), born in Monroe City, Indiana, who passed away on November 14, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emerson Blake "Pete" Cockerham and Ora Cockerham (Biggs); her husband Carl Griffith; her stepdaughter Ruth Woods; and her sisters, Hazel, Pauline, Winnie, June and Rose.
She is survived by: her daughters, Loretta Hartley of Washington, Carla Gibbs of Oakland City, Judy Helsley of Oakland City and Sue Cook of Petersburg. She is also survived by 14 great-great-grandchildren.
