She was predeceased by: her father Hershel Nixon; and her daughters, Eugenia Bolin and Mary Christine Hughes. She is survived by: her former spouse Gene Bolin; her child Rory Bolin (Nancy); and her brother Oscar. She is also survived by two sisters, and one brother; a son; 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
After several years of failing health, and battling Alzheimer's, Barbara Nixon-Maxis at the age of 89, departed this earth on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Golden Living Center in Petersburg surrounded by her loving family.
