We are sad to announce that on October 30, 2022, at the age of 84, Barbara Gail Atkins of Oakland City, Indiana, born in Evansville, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Sauer and Irma Sauer (Mills); her husband Reverend Claude Atkins; her brother Charles Sauer; her aunt Lorraine Mills; her uncle Mac Mills; her grandfather Harry Mills; and her grandson Kalin Atkins.
She is survived by: her children, Carlotta Reynolds (Norman), Vicky Rumble (Allen), Dennis Atkins, Bill Atkins (Jamie) and Michael Atkins (Monica); her grandchildren, Christy Lewis (Brian), Luke Atkins, Aaron Reynolds, Clint Rumble (Vonda Beckham), Damon Atkins (Jana), Cory Atkins (Kayla), Taylor Atkins (Bryce Cooper) and Shala Singer (Brandon); and her great grandchildren, Emma, Carly Lewis, Lukus, Madeline Atkins, Berkley, Lakin Atkins, Braxton Singer, Kinley, Sadie Franklin and Ryan Atkins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Claude L. Atkins endowment at Oakland City University.
