It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arkie Cooper of Oakland City, Indiana, born in Shawneetown, Illinois, who passed away on July 31, 2021, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Cooper and Georgina Cooper (Stanley); his wife Betty Lou Cooper (Davis); and his children, Arkie Lou, Calvin, Mary Linda and Julie.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vickie McCandless, Helen Dersch (Henry), Sharon Vore (Kevin) and Freida McCandless. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; and 36 great-great-grandchildren.
