He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Szewczyk and Jean Szewczyk; his wife Barbara V. Szewczyk (Gale); and his daughters, Lisa Kruger, Andrea Simpson and Nancy Szewczyk.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Knop of Indianapolis and Tere Sinka (Paul) of South Bend; his grandchildren, Alex Knop, Shelby Knop, Paul Sinka (Leah), Brittany Szuba (John), Bryant Sinka, Scott Simpson, Nick Simpson, Kaity Berta, Dalton Kruger (Jeanette), Hayden Kruger (Kyra), Max Kruger and Hannah Moore; and his great grandchildren, Greyson Szuba, Leighton Szuba, Sterling Simpson, Callum Simpson, Aiden Berta, Wyatt Berta, Chloe Berta, Willow Berta and Brody Kruger.
