He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley; his sister Sylvia Gottesmann (Sidney); and his brothers-in-law, Leo Roth (Janet) and Melvin Roth (Lenore). He is survived by: his children, Barbara Bryan (Mitch), Jeff Block (Sharon), Steve Block and Susan Hinshaw (Bruce); his grandchildren, Becca Ogilvie (Teddy), Nina Bryan, Max, Eli, Sam, Annie Gabovitch, David, Richard Gardiner, Clare and Kate Hinshaw; and his great grandchildren, Coraline and Clementine Ogilvie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Jewish Federation of Northwest Indiana or a charity of your choice.
