He is survived by: his wife Mary Johnson; his children, Harold Caldwell of Salt Springs, Steve Caldwell (Teresa) of Hope, Bart Caldwell (Loretta) of North Vernon, Bret Caldwell of North Vernon, Sandra Eder (Ron Thompson) of North Vernon and Jennifer Gates of Columbus; his sister Katherine Lucille Bailey of Columbus; his grandchildren, Megan Rowland (Patrick) of Greenwood, Jake Caldwell of Daytona, Heather Foster (Kirk) of Columbus, Davey Caldwell of Columbus, Stephanie Gates of Columbus, David Gates of Columbus, Alex Caldwell of North Vernon, Makenzie Wilson (Gabe) of North Vernon, Logan Caldwell of North Vernon, Whitney Eder of North Vernon, Nathan Eder (Kayla) of Hanover and Jessica Morrow (Skylar) of Flat Rock; and his great grandchildren, Joseph McBride of Florida, Aiden McBride of Florida, Aubrey Caldwell of Florida, Isaac Rowland of Greenwood, Charlotte Rowland of Greenwood, Finn Rowland of Greenwood, Maverick Wilson of North Vernon, Silas Wilson of North Vernon and Zarha Eder of Hanover.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home (420 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at the Vernon Cemetery (315 S Pike St, Vernon, IN 47282).
