He is survived by: his wife Karen Phillips; his children, James Koons (Roberta) of Franklin and Candice "Candi" Burnside (Tim) of Scipio; his grandchildren, Kyle Koons (Amy), Blaine Koons (Jessica), Jaclyn Koons, Deidra McLaughlin (Joe), Shaylee Burnside and Abby Burnside; and his great grandchildren, Jane Koons, Graham Koons, Patrick Koons, Benjamin Koons, Archer Koons, Malia, Eli, Patrick McLaughlin and Henry McLaughlin.
