He is survived by: his former wife Shirley Faye Moore; his wife Shirley Burton of North Vernon; and his children, William Burton, Jr. (April) of North Vernon, Susie Knighton (Brian) of North Vernon and Jamie Noel (James) of North Vernon. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
