She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hobert and Josephine Iola Huffman (Hill); her husband William Henry "Bill" Powell; and her siblings, John Huffman Jr., Eugene Hill, Virginia Wilson and Harriett Perkins.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis Wayne "Duke" Powell (Julie) of Burnsville and Mary Kathryn "Kathy" Weir (Jim) of Fort Wayne; her grandchildren, Cody Powell (Annie) of Burnsville, Kaitlyn Powell of Burnsville, Casey Powell (Emily) of Savage, Ashley Thomas (Jeb) of Fort Wayne and Jeffrey Butler of Palo Alto, California; and her great grandchildren, Grace Powell, Lily Powell, Delaney Powell, Emmett Powell, Claire Thomas and Kate Thomas.

Memorials may be made in honor of Wendy through the funeral home to First United Methodist Church in North Vernon.
