He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Royse and Beatrice Meadows (James); his son Darren Scott Royse; and his half-siblings, William Ronald "Billy" Meadows and Carol Ann Large.
He is survived by: his children, Rebecca Jean Lucas (Jeff) of North Vernon, Cindy Royse of Jennings County, Richard Allen Royse (Penny) of North Vernon, Kenneth Eugene Royse (Sherry) of North Vernon and Jeffrey Royse (Julie) of North Vernon; his siblings, Judy Gatrell of Fishers and Calvin Royse (Etta) of North Vernon; and his half-siblings, Joyce Kleber of North Vernon, Linda Ailes of Westport, Loren Edward "Eddie" Montgomery of North Vernon, Larry Montgomery of North Vernon and Robert T. "Bobby" Meadows (Betty) of Westport. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
