He was predeceased by: his parents, Estes Gale Hawkes of Williamsport, Pennsylvania and Stevanie Hawkes (Schaffer); and his brother Kenneth Gale Hawkes. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Everett; his children, Angeline Fulbright (Christopher) of Wiley, Chief Andrew Hawkes (Tammy) of Sunnyvale and Stephen Hawkes (Angel) of Anna, Texas; his grandchildren, Emily Hawkes of Dallas, Ian Craig of Austin, Katie-Beth Craig of Austin, Hunter Hawkes of Tyler and Megan Hawkes of Frisco, Texas; his brother Gary Hawkes (Kaye); and his sister-in-law Linda Hawkes of Williamsport, Pennsylvania..

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Restoration Fellowship Church.
