With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Watkins of North Vernon, Indiana, born in Moss, Tennessee, who passed away on July 19, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Allie Cherry (Odel) and Harley Cherry; her husband David Watkins; her siblings, Gene, Clyde Cherry and Margie Hammack; her brothers-in-law, James Hammack and Kenneth Miller; and her grandson Terry Fritz.
She is survived by: her children, April Watkins (Ed Maiden) of Lexington, Melissa Maiden (Timothy) of Dupont, Audrey Franks (James) of North Vernon, Tonya Watkins (Charles Cravens) of North Vernon and Terry Williams (Donna Justice) of North Vernon; her sisters, Evelyn West (Larry) of Columbus, Dale Wachtstetter (Marty) of Columbus, Janet Miller of Columbus and Penny Mcleery (James) of Columbus; and her grandchildren, Angel, Tiffany Anderson, Amber Rudolph, Allen, Heather Williams, Carmen Hulse, Kayla Moore, Matthew Williams, Jeffery Douglas, Crystal Johnson, Jessica Bolding, Christopher Johnson, David Franks, Whitney Morin, Sierra and Bittany Rogers. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
