It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Marie Eder of North Vernon, Indiana, born in Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on March 17, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Simpson and Florence Simpson (Trapp); her husband Richard "Pete" Eder; her siblings, William, John Simpson and Joann Crowe; her son-in-law David White; her grandsons, Luke William Johnson and William Cundiff; and her great grandchild Demitria Luttel.
She is survived by: her children, Eric Johnson (Kathryn) of Butlerville, Gary Johnson (Kristina) of Westport and Judy White of Greensburg; her siblings, Robert O. Simpson of Columbus and Margaret Lee of North Vernon; and her grandchildren, Paul Johnson (Kiana) of Commiskey, Andrew Johnson (Nikki) of Butlerville, Shannon Luttel of Greensburg, Eva King (Terry) of Greensburg, Nathan Cundiff (Charity) of Westport, Shane Johnson of Westport, Jeremiah Johnson of Westport, Walter Johnson (Debbie) of Westport and Matthew Johnson (Kerry) of Brownstown. She is also survived by twenty six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials in honor of Rose may be made through the funeral home to the Luke William Johnson Memorial Scholarship through the Jennings County Community Foundation.
