He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Dixon and Lorene Dixon; and his sister Sarah Mayhew of Franklin, KY.. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Dixon of North Vernon, IN; his sons, Edward Dixon of Clarksville, TN, Ronald Dixon Jr. of North Vernon, IN and Terah Dixon; his grandchildren, Alexis Dixon, Mackenzie Dixon, Lucas Dixon, Maci Dixon and Eleanor Dixon; his great grandchild Kingston DIxon; and his siblings, Patricia McCoy of Franklin, KY and Larry Dixon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
