He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Robert and Sarah Ruth Rigney (Evans); his sister Bonnie; his brother-in-law Maurice Terry; and his nephew David Evans Rigney.
He is survived by: his children, KellyAnne Pelkey (Gary) of Muncie and John Robert Rigney (JuneAnn) of Greensburg; his grandchildren, Dr. Samuel Pelkey (Victoria) of Lewis Center, Dr. SarahAnne Good (Colin) of Lewis Center, Collin Rigney (Claire) of Greensburg and Raegan Rigney of Greensburg; his great grandchildren, Charlotte, Caleb, Kate Pelkey and Ezekiel "Zeke" Good; his brother Thomas Rigney (Carolyn); and his nephew Michael Rigney (Mandi).
