He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Dalton Sr. and Wilma Cross Dalton; his daughter Cathy Kilgore; his grandson Michael Weaver; and his brothers, Earl Dalton and Edward Dalton.

He is survived by: his spouse Marcelene Clark; his children, Steven Dalton (Peggy) of North Vernon, Sharon Hefner (Jerry) of North Vernon and Sheila Braithwaite (Edward) of Berkeley Springs; and his siblings, Evertt Dalton of Campbellsville, Donell Dalton of New Castle and Francis Day of Vacaville. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made through the funeral home to Queensville Community Church.
