He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert John and Elnora Jane Hockersmith (Welch); his daughter Dianna Lynn Hockersmith; and his granddaughter Claudia Anne Hockersmith. He is survived by: his wife Edith Irene Tempest; his children, Julie Diekhoff (Joe) of North Vernon, Janice Burton (Judson) of Valparaiso and Scott Hockersmith (Tina) of North Vernon; and his brother William Joseph Hockersmith of Greensburg. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Bethel Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.
