He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Benham and Evelyn Kelser (Morris); and his siblings, Dennis Benham, Debbie Carter and Rebecca Bradburn.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie Benham of North Vernon; his children, Jason Smith (Laura Kreinhagen) of North Vernon, Michael Smith (Sherry) of North Vernon, Eric Smith (Crystal Douglas) of North Vernon and Larrisa Barker; his grandchildren, Alexis, Sierra, Shyanna, Bryce, Brock, Ashlynn, Michaela, Conner Smith and Honor Barker; and his great grandchildren, Braxton and Maddox Smith.
