It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rebecca Lucille (Nelson) Boggs of North Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on March 15, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Paul E. Nelson; her son Eric Jacob Boggs; and her grandparents, Edwin, Aileen Nelson, Robert Cofer and Valine Bjerg (George).
She is survived by: her mother Joyce Marie Nelson (Coffer) of Hayden; her husband Dennis C. Boggs of North Vernon; her daughter Amanda Dawn Walp (Shannon) of Hayden; her grandchildren, Alexia, Lela and Lane; her brother Craig Nelson (Tammi) of Dripping Spring, TX; and her nieces, Ashlee and Vanessa.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sawyer - Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service (115 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the North Vernon Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (2900 N State Hwy 7, North Vernon, IN 47265).
Memorial donations can be made through the funeral home to the Hayden Elementary School, the North Vernon Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, or Our Hospice of South Central of Indiana.
