He is survived by: his wife Sandy Hawk; his children, Steven Taylor (Brenda) of Greenfield, Hugh Taylor (Dawn) of Hartford City, Steve Surface of Greenwood, Laurel Thompson (Troy) of North Vernon, Pam Helgesen (Michael) of Heltonville, Tina Bailey (Rick) of Greenfield, Jacque "Twink" McClellan (Eric) of Hartford City and Tonya Burchard (Russ) of North Webster; his brothers, Larry Taylor of Poneto, Terry Taylor (Carol) of Hartford City and Mark Taylor (Suzanne) of Hartford City; his brother-in-law Bob Bothast of Montpelier; and his sisters, Nancy Pryor of Hartford City and Sherry Love (Myron) of Montpelier. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
