It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip Hartwell of North Vernon, Indiana, born in Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on January 10, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Hartwell and Esther J. Hartwell (Robbins); his wife Olive Lavonne Baker; his stepson Roger Carmer; and his siblings, Russell Hartwell, Edie Dunn, Roberta Sandlin, Marcella Patton and Shirley Adams.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Cathy Shuler (Donald) of North Vernon, Betty Schneider (Richard) of North Vernon, Judy Mullikin of North Vernon, Shelly Biehle (Larry) of North Vernon and Connie Geis (David) of Seymour; and his grandchildren, Patricia Hendershot (Ron) of Vernon, Ronald Mullikin (Ardena) of North Vernon, Leah Gault (Brian) of North Vernon, Crystal Shuler of North Vernon, Dustin Shuler of North Vernon, Stacy Morris (Tyler) of North Vernon, Mike Schneider (Erica) of North Vernon, Jonathon Anderson of Indianapolis, Tammy Harrell (Jason) of Seymour, James Carmer (Suzy) of Dupont, Mike Hurst (Christy) of Colorado, Larry Biehle, Jr. (Kasie), Amy Voss (Josh) of Commiskey and Jessica Browning (Greg) of Deputy. He is also survived by several step-great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchild.
