It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul Emmerson Ritchie of North Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Ritchie and Mary Ritchie (Shanki); his wife Helen Spaulding; and his siblings, Albert Ritchie and Barbara Wood.
He is survived by: his sons, Garrie Ritchie (Ellen) of North Vernon, Steven M. Ritchie of North Vernon and Thomas A. Ritchie of Ironton, Missouri; his close friend Norma Daugherty of North Vernon; his grandchildren, G. Allen Ritchie (Charlotte) of North Vernon, Jo Ellen Ritchie of North Vernon, Lauri Ritchie of North Vernon, Candice Davidson (Joe) of North Vernon, Ashley Hendrics (Cody) of Madison and Tommie Ritchie (Bethany) of Havelock; and his great grandchildren, Andrea York of North Vernon, Elleonna Ritchie of North Vernon, Lydia Ritchie of North Vernon, Kaydee Ritchie of North Vernon, Stevie Sue Ritchie of North Vernon, Tomas Ritchie of North Vernon, Nathan Jackson of North Vernon, Ethan Herndon of Madison, Jacob Ritchie of Madison, Logan Brefreger of Scipio, Aiden Boyd of Butlerville, Nick Polley of Westport and Zoie Ritchie of Havelock. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Christ Baptist Church. A memorial service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Croix Hospice in Seymour.
