It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Milton Ownbey of North Vernon, Indiana, born in Seymour, Indiana, who passed away on January 6, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Wilson Ownbey Sr. and Agnes Ernestine Ownbey (Yeager); and his brothers, Edward, Raymond, Allen and Loyal Dale Short.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Louise Ownbey (Armstrong); his sons, Bryant Ownbey (Joann Amis) of North Vernon, Jeff Ownbey (Kathy) of Westport and Patrick Ownbey (Christy) of Madison; his brother Woodrow Wilson Ownbey Jr. of North Vernon; and his grandchildren, Chaz Ownbey of North Vernon, Braden Ownbey of North Vernon, Lexi Ownbey of North Vernon, Luke Ownbey of North Vernon, Maddy Ownbey of North Vernon, Alex Genda (Randall) of North Vernon, Zachary Watson of Madison, Zaynah Watson of Madison, Zoie Watson of Madison, Andi Amis (Anthony Baker) of Holton and Gary Amis (Jess) of Holton. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
In compliance with CDC COVID-19 guidelines, only 50 people will be allowed in the funeral home or church at a time.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home in Milton's honor to the Riley Hospital for Children or to Our Hospice of Jennings County.
