It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Dale Porter of North Vernon, Indiana, born in Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ovid "Jim" Porter Sr. and Marcille Porter (Howell); and his spouse Lynetta Kay "Lynn" Davers. He is survived by: his children, Michael Steven Porter of Indianapolis, James Ovid Porter Jr. of Bargersville and Autumn Booth (David) of North Vernon; and his grandchildren, Landyn Porter of North Vernon, Christopher of North Vernon, Timothy of North Vernon, Elizabeth of North Vernon, Nathaniel of North Vernon, Zachary Booth of North Vernon and Emberly Porter of Bargersville.
