He was predeceased by: his father Harold Poer; and his sister Cindy Poer. He is survived by: his mother Julia Whittington (Taylor) of North Vernon; his children, Samantha Mefford (Tracy) of Madison, Kim Poer of Louisville, KY and David Poer of Louisville, KY; his sister Rhonda Persinger of Austin, IN; and his grandchildren, Brian, Cassandra Poer, William and Henry Mefford. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
