He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia Marie Denning Massie and Walter Robert Massie, Sr.; and his siblings, Walter Robert Massie, Jr., Johnnie Ernest Massie, Raymond Ralph Massie, Daniel Augustus Massie, Mary Bentz, Betty Thomas Copeland, Helen Marie Massie and Virginia Estella Ann Massie.
He is survived by: his son Michael Edward "Mikey" Massie, II of North Vernon, Indiana; his stepdaughter Michelle Stucker (Michael) of Madison, Indiana; his granddaughter Leila Ruble; his stepgrandchildren, Cory and Nicole; and his siblings, Nellie Mason (Monty) of Madison, Debbie Massie of Hanover, Phyllis Sommers of Hanover, Diane Smith (Donnie) of Worthville, Kentucky, Kenny Massie of North Vernon and Joe Massie of Canaan, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre (325 Demaree Dr, Madison, IN 47250). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
