Maxine Chapman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Chapman of North Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Trent and Bertha Trent (Moore); her husband Charles E. Chapman; her son James Chapman; and her siblings, Calvin, James, Robert, Herman Trent, Jean Williams and Aileen Caines.
She is survived by: her son Charles C. Chapman (Patricia); her grandchildren, Peter Chapman (Shellie), Misty Thomas (Brandon), Christel Chapman and Carin Chapman; her great grandchildren, Scott Obermiller, Keaton Floyd (Alli), Payton Obermiller, Gracie Rigdon (Dillon), Shayla Chapman and Skylar Chapman; and her great great grandchild Amelia Floyd.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Sawyer - Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service (115 S State St, North Vernon, IN 47265). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Bear Creek Cemetery (W 1000 N, North Vernon, IN 47265).
