He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Jackson and Pauline Catherine Wissel Jackson (Burgmeier); and his sisters, Dolores Horstman and Wanda June Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Diana Kleber; his children, Jamie Jackson of North Vernon, Phillip Jackson (Sheila) of North Vernon, Andy Jackson (Lindsay) of North Vernon and Angie Phillips (Ray) of North Vernon; his siblings, Richard Wissel (Betty) of North Vernon and Jean Nichter (John) of North Vernon; his grandchildren, Rachel Ross (Matt) of North Vernon, Tyler Phillips of North Vernon, Dillon Jackson of North Vernon, Tucker Jackson of North Vernon, Gunnar Jackson of North Vernon, Logan Hall of North Vernon, Jesse Wallace (Margot) of Scott and Cameron Hadley (Carley) of Columbus; and his great grandchildren, Graci, Gavin Ross, Kamry Phillips, Kinah, Boone, Sylar Wallace and Rowdy Hall.

Memorials may be made in honor of Maurice through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County or the Hayden Historical Museum.
