It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maurice Grider (North Vernon, Indiana), born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on March 21, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vurchel Grider and Bertha Ross Grider; his former wife Edna Cockerham; his son Robert Grider; and his siblings, Willard Grider and Virginia E. Merick.
He is survived by: his former spouse Jewel Bryant; his wife Jewell Grider of North Vernon; his sons, William Grider (Wilma), Larry Grider (Josie) and Joe Grider (Charlene) of North Vernon; and his stepchildren, Charles Etienne, Lorrie Etienne Campbell and Wesley Scott Crane of North Vernon. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
