She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence H. Kretzer and Selma M. Hallow Kretzer; her daughter Mary Beth Colgan; and her brothers, Walter Kretzer and Don R. Kretzer.
She is survived by: her husband Don E. Carmichael; her children, Kathy Shadday (Jeff) of Brownsburg and Timothy Carmichael (Sheila) of North Vernon; and her sisters, Janet Sullivan of Seymour and Vera Schafer of North Vernon. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
