With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mary Irene Amos of North Vernon, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wendell Bennett and Gertrude Bennett (Oxley); and her aunt Clementine Dykes. She is survived by: her daughters, Angela Elswick (James "Jay") of North Vernon and Pamela Boone of Indianapolis, Indiana; her granddaughters, Shea Mays (Chad) and Maranda Ater (Jordan); and her siblings, Rose Wilcutts of Centerville, Tennessee, Deanie Scudder of Centerville, Tennessee and Harry Bennett of Seffner, Florida. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Norton King's Daughters' Cancer Center, the Brooksburg Baptist Church, or the Tea Creek Baptist Church. Contributions may be made at the Lytle Welty Funeral Home or below.
