With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leroy Lacey Jr. of North Vernon, Indiana, born in Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on July 14, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Lacey Sr. and Bertha Mae Beam Lacey; his wife Thelma Louise Redicker; his siblings, Robert, James, Charles, Frank, Merle, Paul Lacey, Pat Canary and Dorothy Combest; and his grandson Michael Waltermire.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Neal (David) of Commiskey, Beverly Waltermire (William) of Commiskey, Danny Lacey (Peggy) of Butlerville and Robert Lacey of North Vernon; his siblings, Delores Hibbard of North Vernon, Betty Hawkins of North Vernon and Earl Lacey of North Vernon; and his grandchildren, Danelle Mathis (Scott) of Columbus, Michele Hopper (Michael) of Hanover, Tasha Lanning (Ben) of Commiskey, Nancy Lacey of Butlerville, Billy Joe Waltermire (Roberta) of Muncie, Daniel Neal (Alisha) of Seymour, Bobbi Howard (Kiefer) of Seymour and Cody Lacey of North Vernon. He is also survived by twenty three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made in honor of Leroy through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
