He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Copeland and Marie Copeland (Buchanan); his grandmother Sylvia Buchanan; and his brothers, Robert and Victor Copeland.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Copeland of North Vernon; and his children, Darren Copeland (Paula) of North Vernon, Kevin Copeland (Betty) of Homosassa, FL, John Trent Copeland of North Vernon and Teresa Torline (Jim) of North Vernon. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
