It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jim Washburn of North Vernon, Indiana, born in Beech Grove, Indiana, who passed away on November 11, 2020, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Washburn and Juanita Fairfield (Eskridge); his son Travis Wayne Washburn; and his siblings, John H. Washburn, LaDonna Doran and Marjorie Morton.
He is survived by: his former wife Deborah M. Bishop of North Vernon; his children, James R. Washburn, Jr. of Indianapolis, Crystal Bowen (John) of Waynesville, Aaron Washburn (Rebekah Darrough) of Lebanon and Adam Washburn of Lebanon; and his siblings, Alton "Tom" Fields of Lebanon, Carlena Williams of Thorntown, Elsie Fairfield of Thorntown, Linda Frietzsche (Rick) of Lebanon, Lois Cole (Steve) of Thorntown and Rita Batton of Urbana, Ohio. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, memorial services will be held in the Spring of 2021 at Myers Mortuary in Lebanon with burial of ashes to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
