It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Umphrey of North Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on July 20, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mabel Marie Umphrey (Anderson) and Ralph Umphrey. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Umphrey of North Vernon; his son Craig Michael Umphrey (Kerry) of Cape Coral, FL; his grandchildren, Grant Michael Umphrey and Allison Jean Umphrey of Cape Coral, FL; and his siblings, Sue Smith, Sara Saxon and John Hamm.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made through the funeral home to the Disabled American Veterans to continue the caring for those veterans who need it most.
