He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Fosteen Lanham Payne and Edward Gerald Payne; his daughter Yvonne Louise Payne Mitchner (Janury); and his son-in-law Kenneth Leon Mitchner. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Ann Tolle Payne of North Vernon, Indiana; his daughter Rebecca Ann Payne Jones (Shannon) of Scipio, Indiana; his grandchildren, Megan, Samantha, Matthew and Justin; his great grandchildren, Mayson, Madyson, Amelya, Rylan, Reese, Kashdyn and Kohyn; and his siblings, Mary Geraldine Everman (Paul) of Rexville, Cecilia Means (George) of Lexington, Kathy Campbell of Madison, Beverly Effinger of Madison, Indiana and Richard Payne of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
