He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shinolt and Elaine Shinolt; and his brothers, Rex Shinolt, Chuck Shinolt and Gary Shinolt.
He is survived by: his wife Libby Shinolt; his son Doug Shinolt (Ali) of Georgia; his stepson Ian Castetter of Columbus; his grandchildren, Francisco Shinolt of Georgia, Keenan Castetter (Ariel) of North Vernon and Kamryn Castetter of North Vernon; and his sister Brenda Bohn (Allen).
