It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Reed Bird of North Vernon, Indiana, born in Marion, Indiana, who passed away on March 13, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reed Bird and Lenora Nell Bird (Holcomb); and his siblings, Thomas (Bird), Dora Lee Young and Judy Bird.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Kay Bird (Lucas) of North Vernon; his daughters, Cecilia Ann Bird of North Vernon and Sandra Kelly Bishop (Scott) of North Vernon; his brother Charles R. Bird of North Vernon; and his grandchildren, Lindsey Wooley (Brian) of North Vernon, Cody Bishop (Kayla) of North Vernon, Kelsey McHaley (Chad) of North Vernon, Edward Bishop of North Vernon, Alessa Jarrell of North Vernon, Caleb Jarrell of North Vernon and Matthew Jarrell of North Vernon.
Memorial donations may be made through the funeral home in honor of James to Mercy Rescue and Adoption Inc.
