With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Louise McNeal of North Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on January 17, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Abe and Cora Mae Lucas (Walls); her former husband Philip McNeal; her children, Clarence E. Oliver and Patricia Oliver; her son-in-law John Martin; and her siblings, Robert, Ray Lucas, Paul Lucas, Edward Lucas, Beatrice Kyle, Geneva Everage, Virginia Bowling and Dorothy Stewart.
She is survived by: her husband Todd Oliver; her children, Larry J. Oliver (Debbie) of Columbus, Linda D. Martin of Seymour, Connie L. Philpot (Pharis) of Brownstown and Debra J. Bennett of Columbus; her sister Edith Mae Minks of Louisville, Kentucky; her grandchildren, John E. Martin of Seymour, Craig Martin of Seymour, Joshua T. Oliver (Jodi) of Mt. Auburn, Travis J. Oliver (Marianne) of Mt. Auburn, Cora R. Philpot (J. T.) of Franklin, Kylie M. Bennett of Columbus, David Philpot of Columbus and Phillip E. Bennett of Columbus; and her great grandchildren, Ava Martin of Seymour, James E. Oliver of Mt. Auburn, Piper Oliver of Mt. Auburn, Gage Oliver of Mt. Auburn and Joey Oliver of Mt. Auburn.
Memorials may be made in honor of Helen through the funeral home to Our Hospice of Jennings County, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Good Samaritan Food Pantry.
