He was predeceased by: his mother Polly Jane Melton Wooten; his siblings, Patsy Melton, Imogene Clemons, Gloria Clemons and James Clemons; and his granddaughter Celeste Nellenback Mabe.

He is survived by: his wife Tina Bryant-Melton; his children, Damon Melton (Shaunda) of Washington, Patricia Hall (Kenny) of Washington, Cody Melton (Anna) of Washington and Logan Melton of North Vernon; his stepsons, Joshua Acree of North Vernon, Jason Acree (Destiny) of Seymour, Bradley Acree (Molly) of Cincinnati and Adam Acree (Racheal) of Butlerville; his brothers, Danny Wooten (Danielle) of Scipio and William Wooten (Kim) of Commiskey; his grandchildren, Dakota Shipley (Destiny) of Columbus, Chloe Prewitt of Tennessee, Taylor Frank of Washington, Payton Frank of Washington, Hayden Frank of Washington, Bryson Frank of Washington, Skylar Frank of Washington, Emma Dillon of Washington and Kiana Sarduy of Washington; his stepgrandchildren, Gavin Hurley of North Vernon, Noah Acree of Seymour, Shealynn Herr of Scipio, Bryant Acree of Cincinnati, Kurdt Austin of Butlerville and Jordan Cone of Butlerville; and his great grandchildren, Jensen Shipley of Columbus, Jackson Shipley of Columbus and Zoey Shipley of Columbus.

Memorial donations may be made in honor of Harry through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society or to Mercy Rescue.
