He is survived by: his former wife Nettie Burton; his wife Nettie Sheppard; his children, Uriah Richardson of Seymour, David Sheppard (Korri) of Bradenton, Jacob Sheppard of North Vernon and Sarah Coleman (Adam) of North Vernon; his stepmother Sandy Sheppard of Morristown; his siblings, Jack Sheppard (Jolea) of Iowa, William Sheppard of North Vernon, Richard Sheppard of North Vernon, John Sheppard of North Vernon, Jason Sheppard (Anny) of Shelbyville, Terry Owens (Regina) of Morristown, Dominique Harlan James (Maurice) of Louisville, Kentucky, Jessica Sheppard of Morristown and Tina James of North Vernon; and his grandchildren, Alex Richardson of Seymour, Emily Richardson of Seymour, Luke Coleman of North Vernon, Chrisanna Coleman of North Vernon, Jak Sheppard of North Vernon, George Sheppard of North Vernon and Clarke Sheppard of Bradenton.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the American Heart Association in memory of his granddaughter Ava Coleman.
