He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Eugene Ray Sr. and Eleanor Jean Ray (Scott); his grandson Aaron Graham; and his sister Reva Minton. He is survived by: his wife Gaile Coffey; his daughters, Rebekah N. Ray of North Vernon and Stacy Batts (Frank) of Paris Crossing; his siblings, Charles Ray of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Diane Abbott of Seymour; and his grandchildren, Amber Hawkins (Gilbert), Wendy Combest (Sammy), Megan Grunden (Kyle), Mindy Batts, Matthew Graham (Chelsea), Sarah Graham (Luke Bozell), Kassandra Batts, Maryam Batts and Harley Batts.
