He is survived by: his children, Nathan Day (Susanne Biehle) of Greencastle and Ashley Day of Milan; his siblings, Larry Day of Newaygo, Rockne Day (Gail) of Columbus and Jayne Shepherd (Jerry); his grandchildren, Kieran Day of Greencastle, Annabel Day of Greencastle and Ani Day-Velazquez (Elijah Lorance); and his great grandchild Arabella Elaine Day-Lorance of North Vernon.
