Cheryl Carter Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Carter of North Vernon, Indiana, who passed away on April 5, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William R. Atkins and Yvonne Atkins (Ricketts); and her sister Denise Atkins. She is survived by: her sons, Greg Carter (Karla) of Branson and Colby Carter (Peggy) of Brownstown; her brother Mark Atkins (Cheryl) of Columbus; and her grandchildren, Melinda Purdy (Darren) of Greenwood, Casey Cockerham (Heather) of Columbus, Kirtley Carter of Coffeyville, Kyle Carter of Coffeyville, Erin Benham (Nate Lujan) of Joplin, Missouri and Shaffer Stevens of Joplin, Missouri. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in honor of Cheri through the funeral home to Garden City Church of Christ.
