He is survived by: his wife Doris Fortner of North Vernon; his children, Pam Gray (Elbert), Michelle Brown, Michael Fortner of North Vernon and James Fortner (Laura) of East Enterprise; his stepchildren, Stephanie Green (Jeff) of North Vernon and Steve Schmidt (Melinda) of North Vernon; his sisters, Sue Horton of North Vernon, Ellen Moore of North Vernon, Sandy Summerfield (Mike) of North Vernon and Phyllis Blair of North Vernon; his grandchildren, Cody (Megan), Colton Gray, Mikel Gray (Gaylen), Glenda Sizemore, Cortney Matthews (Michael), Cori Fortner, Steve, Jacob Schmidt, Travis and Trent Roberson; and his great grandchildren, Skiler Fortner, Noah, Braydon, Lawver, Morgan, Abby Estis, Greyson and Bennett Schmidt. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
