It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Deaton Sr. (North Vernon, Indiana), who passed away on March 6, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Deaton and Nanalou McIntosh Deaton; his sons, Charles Deaton Jr. and Mike Deaton; his granddaughter Carla Faye Barter; and his siblings, Frank Deaton, Billy Deaton, Lennie Begley, Mary Byers and Alice Wells.
He is survived by: his spouse Martha Ann "Annie" Bear; his children, Mark Deaton (Hope) of Austin and Brenda Wolf of Austin; his sister-in-law Fay Deaton of Michigan; and his grandchildren, Justin Deaton (Katlyn) of Austin, Charles Barter of Austin, Meagan Ashley of Austin, Emily Ashley of Austin, William Wolf of Austin, Sabrina Deaton of Scottsburg and Ashley Deaton of Indianapolis.
