He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Everett Cooper Sr. and Ruth M. Kiser Cooper; his wife Josephine Ann "JoAnn" Marksberry; his siblings, Jim Cooper and Brenda McGovern; and his great grandchild Braden Eaton.
He is survived by: his children, Bill Cooper (Teresa) of North Vernon and Tammy Ison (Jeff) of North Vernon; his siblings, Bob Starkey (Sandy) of Georgia, Kate Meyer of Commiskey and Barb Shepherd of North Vernon; and his grandchildren, Cynthia Eaton (Chris) of North Vernon, Crystal Cooper (Jonah) of North Vernon, Elizabeth Chastain (Scott) of North Vernon, Daniel Ison (Jessica) of North Vernon, Christopher Cooper (Stevi) of Scipio and Chasity Norris (Mike) of Queensville. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
