He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur Cardinal and Beatrice Cardinal (Clifton); his brother Donald Cardinal; his stepmother Ruth Cardinal; and his sister Mary Wilkerson.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Cardinal (Rita Euers) of North Vernon, Susie Cardinal of Dupont and Patty Abplanalp (Frank) of Franklin; his former wife Barb Frische; his grandchildren, Erin Green (Derek) of North Vernon, Nicole Davidson of Franklin and Sam Davidson of Westport; his great grandchildren, Keegan and Rylee Green of North Vernon; his sister-in-law Patsy Cardinal of Columbus; his niece Shelly Cardinal-Rockwell of Columbus; and his sister Nettie Malcomb (James) of North Vernon.
Memorial donations can be made through the funeral home to the Shrine Transport Fund.
